Our Story

At Nagisa Sushi, we bring authentic Japanese sushi together with San Diego’s coastal lifestyle. Located in Point Loma near Liberty Station, Ocean Beach, SeaWorld, and San Diego International Airport, Nagisa offers fresh seasonal seafood, signature seasoned rice, craft sake, and warm hospitality in a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere.

“Nagisa” means “beach” in Japanese, reflecting both our roots and the ocean-inspired spirit of San Diego. Inspired by Japanese tradition and local surf culture, we create an approachable dining experience where locals and travelers can enjoy quality sushi, thoughtful flavors, and memorable moments together.

    Premium sea urchin imported from Hokkaido, Japan, known for its rich sweetness and creamy texture.

  • Japanese A-5 Wagyu

    Carefully selected premium sake imported directly from Japan’s renowned breweries, chosen to complement our sushi and seasonal dishes.

    Prepared in-house with no MSG to enhance the natural flavor and balance of each piece of sushi.

    Seasoned daily in-house to create the perfect balance and harmony with each piece of sushi.

this place is incredibly gas. we ordered a sake flight and they had it out on the table before we finished putting the food in. i’m talking <27 seconds it was sensational. the fish quality is top notch and the staff is friendly and attentive. they don’t say my pleasure constantly like you’re at chick fil a, they just genuinely love sushi and fresh fish. kudos to the chef and the Top G in the navy polo, he knows service. our waitresses grace and olivia were gems. if you don’t like this place… snoooty!
